Mexico is Latin America's second largest steel producer, consuming almost the same tonnage of steel as Brazil. The country's steel mills have a very close relationship with the United States market, with companies like Ternium, ICH and Deacero having subsidiaries in the US. Mexico is also a huge steel importer with most imports made by the 41 service centers detailed in this high quality map. The map features 42 steel mills, including crude steel producers, re-rollers and coaters, 25 pipe mills and 41 service centers. Also included are HRC and rebar domestic price movement since Jan 2009, major products import, export and AC in 2009, crude steel pig iron and DRI production from 2001, color coded crude steel capacity, by region and major ports, railways, roads and shipping lines
